Bradford gets new Enterprise Car Club vehicles

Date: 18 August 2020   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Enterprise Car Club has added four new locations to its provision in Bradford.

The scheme, run in partnership with Bradford Council, now has vehicles at Burnett Street, the Crown Court, Jacobs Well, and Exhibition Road, bringing the total number in the city to 12.

Enterprise says car club membership in Bradford has increased by 30% so far in 2020.

It says its vehicles are put through a comprehensive cleaning regime between each rental, in light of Covid-19.

Bradford Council executive member for regeneration, planning and transport Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw said: "As the UK comes out of lockdown, people are keen to travel again in the most sustainable and efficient way possible.

"Car clubs are an easy and convenient solution that is also great value for money. Plus, members know that as well as protecting the environment, every vehicle has been thoroughly sanitised between each use.

"Our aim is to reduce CO2 emissions across Bradford without affecting people's access to a wide range of convenient transport options. Working with Enterprise is helping us to achieve that goal."

Enterprise general manager for the North East Sak Gill said: "The support from the Council and our members has driven this expansion and demonstrates that car clubs can offer an effective choice for sustainable motoring.

"Our 'complete clean' pledge ensures customers can feel totally comfortable using our vehicles.

"We're continuing to expand Enterprise Car Club across the UK, reaching communities large and small, to enable more flexible, low-emission and value for money options for both businesses and individuals."
