Audi E-Tron Sportback specs and prices confirmed

Date: 28 August 2020   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Audi has announced full details of its new E-Tron Sportback EV.

The new model is based on the existing E-Tron electric SUV, but with a sleeker, coupe-inspired roofline - though Audi claims rear headroom is only reduced by 20mm.

At launch it is available only with a 408hp electric motor and a 95kWh battery, however Audi says an entry-level version with a 313hp motor and 71kWh battery will follow later this year.

The 408hp version will cover a range of up to 241 miles between charges on the WLTP cycle.

Three equipment grades are initially available - S Line, Launch Edition, and Vorsprung.

Standard equipment with S Line includes Matrix LED headlights, privacy glass, 21in alloy wheels, electrically-adjustable front sport seats, Audi's Virtual Cockpit driver display, twin central touchscreens, wireless smartphone integration and charging, live services through Audi Connect, cruise control, lane departure warning and a reversing camera.

Launch Edition comes with further equipment including virtual door mirrors, a full-length panoramic sunroof, powered steering wheel adjustment, Virtual Cockpit Plus, a 360-degree camera, and adaptive cruise assist.

Top-spec Vorsprung then adds further equipment including 22in alloy wheels, power-closing doors, a heated steering wheel and a Bang & Olufsen audio system.

In addition, Audi says both fleet and retail customers who order an E-Tron Sportback or an E-Tron before the end of the year will get a 7kW home wallbox charger, and a free 12-month subscription to Audi's E-Tron public charging service, which covers 18 charge point suppliers across the UK and Europe, with 1,000 miles-worth of free electricity.

Prices for the E-Tron Sportback with the 408hp motor start at £79,900 for S Line spec, and rise to £85,900 for Launch Edition and £95,100 for Vorsprung.

Prices for the 313hp motor are yet to be announced.
