Proxy bidding feature added to BCA Buyer app

Date: 28 August 2020   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Auction firm BCA has added a new proxy bidding feature to its Buyer app.

Users can now choose to leave proxy bids on any number of vehicles in upcoming sales, by selecting each vehicle they are interested in and entering a maximum bid.

Bids are accepted in £100 increments, and can be changed at any time until the vehicle comes up for sale.

BCA says the feature is intended to offer greater flexibility for professional buyers who might otherwise not be available to bid on specific vehicles because of time or work constraints.

BCA chief marketing and data officer Dene Jones said: "BCA continues to enhance the Buyer app, making it even easier for our professional buyer customers to acquire stock safely, efficiently and profitably.

"The BCA Buyer app is the most widely used transactional mobile app serving the wholesale used vehicle sector, delivering a range of benefits for buyers and generating significant additional demand for sellers."
