Ebbon-Dacs upgrades software for fleet car deliveries

Date: 05 August 2020   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Software firm Ebbon-Dacs has announced changes to its vehicle delivery and collection system, designed to make fleet deliveries easier.

The first change is to its MoDel-VM portal, in the form of a 'push job' facility, which allows logistics and delivery companies to 'push' a new vehicle delivery job directly to delivery drivers' devices, such as smartphones and tablets.

This removes the need for drivers to download jobs themselves, as instead they can just log into the MoDel app and find all their deliveries listed.

The feature is first being offered in a pilot scheme, and Ebbon-Dacs is looking for volunteer companies to take part in trials.

The second new feature is a new registration process for the driver app for all versions of MoDel.

By registering their details for the app, including username and password, drivers will be able to view all their available jobs - a feature for which Ebbon-Dacs is also looking for trial volunteers.

In addition, the app itself has been given a new user interface.
