The e-tron, Audi's electric SUV, can now also be ordered as a '50 quattro', for a lower entry price of £59,000.
Previously, there was just one power option for the e-tron, the 55 quattro, which has 408hp and a starting price of £72,700. The new 50 quattro is slightly more reasonable, at 315hp and a price of £59,000.
It has a WLTP range of 190 miles and can be fast charged in 30 minutes, although the chargers capable of this - such as the 150kW units on the Ionity network - are still very rare. Audi does include a 7kW wallbox for home charging, though, which can charge the car from empty in 10.5 hours.
Contributing to the drop in price is the fact that the 50 quattro can be specced with lower equipment grades than the 55. These include Technik, Sport and S line.
The bottom 'Technik' grade features 20in wheels, LED headlights, heated leather seats and Audi's premium infotainment system.
The Sport has different 20in wheels, sports seats and extended rear seat entertainment. The S-line features sportier body styling, sports suspension, 21in wheels, matrix LED headlights and a sport steering wheel.
Like the 55 quattro, the 50 quattro can also be specced as Launch grade, which offers 21in wheels, virtual door mirrors, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise control, a 360° camera and enhanced connectivity. The 50 quattro Launch starts at £72,700.
For the moment, the e-tron Sportback, which has a sloping roof line, remains only available as a 55 quattro.
