Enterprise mobility platform gains popularity

Enterprise Travel Direct (ETD), which was launched in October 2018, allows users to compare the cost of daily rental, hourly car club, pool car and grey fleet for a planned journey.
The platform works out availability and cost of vehicles to let users choose the best mode of transport. Since it was launched in the UK (October 2018) and Germany (October 2019), ETD has had more than 43,000 individual users.
It has added benefits for managing grey fleet. Since grey fleet journeys are logged in the system, companies have an immediate record of them, rather than having to wait until an expenses claim is filed.
For grey fleet, ETD also ensures compliance, as it requires employees to confirm that the vehicle has the correct insurance and maintenance.
As the system is from Enterprise, daily rentals can be booked immediately on ETD, rather than employees having to go through a centralised booking team.
