Europcar introduces socially-distanced services

Date: 24 July 2020   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Europcar Mobility Group UK has brought in new ways of picking up rental vehicles to comply with social distancing requirements.

A new click and collect service allows drivers to bypass the need to enter a rental station when collecting a vehicle.

Instead, they meet a member of Europcar staff in a designated area of the car park, where the keys and rental agreement can be handed over at a safe distance.

In addition, the firm says it has enhanced its deliver and collect service, to allow for safe distancing when a vehicle is dropped off.

Managing director Gary Smith said: "At Europcar Mobility Group we recognise that things have changed during the coronavirus pandemic, and so have we.

"Our click and collect and deliver and collect services offer our customers options that offer peace of mind, safety and convenience."
