Minor mid-life updates for Peugeot 308 and 308 SW

Peugeot has given its family hatchback, the 308, and its estate variant, some small updates to bring the infotainment and engines in line with the rest of the range.
The Peugeot 308 now gets the latest version of the i-Cockpit, the brand's 10in digital gauges. The central screen is updated to the latest version, featuring a gloss finish.
The engine range has been simplified, with the 2.0-litre diesel being dropped. Those after a diesel 308 now always get the 1.5-litre BlueHDI - either with 100hp or 130hp. The 1.5-litre diesels are still not RDE2-compliant, so they incur the usual 4% BIK penalty.
On the petrol side, normal 308s are always fitted with the 1.2-litre PureTech three-cylinder, with either 110hp or 130hp. The 308 GTi hot hatch, with its 1.6-litre engine and 263hp remains available as well.
All engines come with a six-speed manual as standard, while an eight-speed automatic is standard on the 130hp versions.
Peugeot is also adding a new paint colour, Vertigo Blue, a few new alloy wheel styles, and a Black styling pack for the top-of-the-range versions.
The driving assistance features have been brought up to date as well, with the option of adaptive cruise control with stop & go, a parking camera, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, driver attention alert, speed sign recognition and blind spot monitoring.
