Two Skoda Kodiaq vRSs join air ambulance fleet

Date: 31 March 2020   |   Author: Illya Verpraet

A Midlands air ambulance service has taken delivery of two Skoda Kodiaq vRS SUVs for its ground support.

The local air ambulance serves Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland and needs the cars, as its helicopters do not fly at night.

The two performance SUVs join the charity's two Skoda Superb saloons. The cars were converted by Halls Electrical, a Skoda-approved convertor, to suit the air ambulance duties.

Richard Clayton, director of operations at the Local Air Ambulance Service, said: "It is more imperative than ever, that our fleet of critical care cars are able to meet the demands of the job. The reliability, versatility and power of the two new Kodiaq vRS models will enable us to continue to respond rapidly to emergencies across the Midlands."
