Toyota Prius Plug-in gets safety and tech upgrades

Date: 06 November 2020   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Toyota has added new features to the plug-in hybrid version of its Prius.

Among the upgrades is the addition of lane trace assist to the standard-fit Toyota Safety Sense package.

This operates with the adaptive cruise control system to keep the car centred in its lane, providing gentle steering inputs to help keep it on course.

Also new to the Prius Plug-in is Toyota's latest multimedia package, including Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.

In addition, a new data collection model adds eCall functionality, and access to additional connected services through the MyT app, including vehicle location, journey planning, driver coaching, and driving data logging.

The updated Prius Plug-in is on sale now. Prices start at £32,645 for a Business Edition model, and rise to £34,745 for the higher-spec Excel model.
