Vauxhall announces Corsa-E price cut among Corsa range updates

Date: 25 November 2020   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Vauxhall has announced updates to its Corsa supermini range for the 2021 model year, including a price cut for the electric Corsa-E variant.

Prices for the electric model, including the £3,000 UK Government plug-in car grant, now start at £26,640 with the SE Nav Premium equipment grade - more than £1,000 cheaper than before.

The highest spec Corsa-E, the Elite Nav Premium grade, now costs £30,045 including the grant, a drop of more than £250.

The Corsa-E is also now newly available in the sports-inspired SRi Nav Premium equipment grade, which includes 17in alloy wheels, sports seats, red-accented interior trim, dark-tinted rear windows and sports pedals.

This model is priced at £27,890 (all prices are for a Corsa-E with a 7.4kW onboard charger -models with an 11kW charger cost £850 more).

Changes have also been announced for the regular Corsa range, including a new, more powerful engine option - a 1.2-litre, 130hp petrol, which comes with eight-speed automatic transmission.

This is available with the SRi, SRi Premium and Ultimate Nav equipment grades, and comes with selectable drive modes, as well as a twin exhaust.

Vauxhall has also made the entry-level 75hp petrol engine available with more equipment grades, and introduced a new Elite equipment grade, which unsurprisingly does without the sat-nav system fitted to Elite Nav cars.

The SRi grade also now includes a Light Pack as standard, including LED front fog lights, LED tail lights and automatic lighting control.

Both the SRi and SRi Premium grades have gained 17in bi-colour wheels.

Orders for the revised Corsa range are open now. Prices start at £16,440 for a 75hp SE model, while the new Elite grade starts at £18,355, and the new 130hp engine starts at £22,530 with the SRi grade.
