Full Volkswagen ID.3 UK specs and prices announced

Date: 14 October 2020   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Volkswagen has confirmed full UK specs and prices for its new ID.3 electric car.

Following the arrival of the initial 1st Edition cars last month, VW has now outlined a regular range that features seven equipment grades - Life, Business, Family, Style, Tech, Max, and Tour.

All grades come with a 204hp electric motor, and all except Tour feature a 58kWh battery, allowing a driving range on the WLTP combined cycle of between 258 miles and 263 miles depending on spec.

The Tour grade comes with a 77kWh battery, upping the range to 336 miles.

Rather than a regular spec walk, VW says the grades will feature different combinations of five option packages - Design, Infotainment, Comfort, Assistance, and Sport.

However, standard equipment across the range includes LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, voice control, front and rear parking sensors, sat-nav with a 10in touchscreen, keyless start, and climate control.

Prices, including the UK Government's plug-in car grant, start at £29,990 for the Life grade, and rise through £33,720 for Business, £34,650 for Family, £34,180 for Style, £36,190 for Tech, £38,220 for Max, and £39,290 for Tour.

Orders for the ID.3 will open next week, with the first deliveries expected before the end of the month.

Cheaper versions of the car, with lower power outputs and a smaller 45kWh battery, are then set to join the range next year.
