Date: 28 September 2020   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Mazda has confirmed full UK specs and prices for the new MX-30, its first fully-electric vehicle.

Having previously confirmed details of the launch First Edition model, Mazda has now revealed that the regular range will consist of three equipment grades: SE-L Lux, Sport Lux and GT Sport Tech.

Standard equipment throughout the range includes LED headlights with daytime running lights, a reversing camera, radar cruise control with intelligent speed assist, sat-nav and a head-up display.

Standard features with the Sport Lux grade include electric seats, lumbar support adjustment and keyless entry.

Further equipment with the range-topping GT Sport Tech grade includes a front wiper de-icer, a power and tilt sunroof, a heated steering wheel, a 360-degree view monitor and a 12-speaker Bose surround sound system.

Standard safety systems across the range include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, autonomous emergency braking with a turn-across traffic function, emergency lane keeping with road-keep assist, lane departure warning and driver attention alert, while extra systems with GT Sport Tech include cruising traffic support, front cross traffic alert, and rear smart brake support.

The MX-30 features a 35.5kWh battery, said to allow a driving range of up to 124 miles.

Mazda says an 80% charge will be possible in 36 minutes with a 50kW rapid charger.

Prices, including the UK Government's plug-in vehicle grant, start at £25,545 for the SE-L Lux grade, while a Sport Lux car costs £27,545.

GT Sport Tech costs £29,845 when equipped with a cloth interior, or £30,045 with artificial leather.

Pre-orders currently remain limited to First Edition spec, priced at £27,495, with the first deliveries due in March.
