Orders open for Fiat Panda Easy mild hybrid

Date: 01 October 2020   |   Author: Sean Keywood

The mild hybrid version of Fiat's Panda city car is now available to order at a lower price, with the mid-range Easy equipment grade.

The mild hybrid Panda was previously available with a higher-spec Launch Edition, and with the City Cross crossover variant.

The powertrain augments a 70hp, three-cylinder petrol engine with a 12V electric motor, said to improve fuel efficiency, and also reduce CO2 emissions by 10% compared with the outgoing pure petrol engine.

The motor does this by assisting the engine during acceleration, and allowing the engine to switch off by switching into neutral at speeds below 18mph.

The powertrain comes with a six-speed manual gearbox.

CO2 emissions are 122-129g/km, and combined fuel economy is 48.7-52.3mpg on the WLTP cycle.

Standard features with the Easy equipment grade include air conditioning, DAB radio, Bluetooth and 15in alloy wheels.

The model is priced at £11,840.
