Alphabet supports NCP move to 100% electrified fleet choice list

Date: 23 April 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Car park operator NCP has introduced a company car fleet choice list comprised entirely of EVs and plug-in hybrids, with support from leasing company Alphabet GB.

NCP has a fleet of 105 company cars, and hopes to have fully switched to electrified models within two years.

It is said to have been looking for a fleet funding partner that would support this move when it chose to work with Alphabet, which is now providing full contract hire and maintenance for the fleet.

A whole life cost model was introduced for the fleet, emphasising the reduction in tax contributions associated with EVs and plug-in hybrids.

The Alphabet deal is also said to have reduced admin for NCP, which previously used up to five different funders.

NCP fleet coordinator Antony Wooller said: "Partnering with Alphabet has already paid dividends for NCP, saving the business considerable time in unnecessary admin, and the costs that go alongside that.

"Our drivers are thrilled with the new options available to them on our updated choice list and particularly the tax reductions they're now able to enjoy by lowering their emissions.

"Looking ahead to the next couple years, we're excited to work with Alphabet to migrate to a fully electrified fleet across the whole NCP business as current vehicle contracts expire."

Alphabet GB corporate sales manager Dermot Kehoe said: "It's great to be working with NCP to support them on their journey towards electrification. With one of the business's biggest grievances being around excessive admin processing, we wanted to find a solution that worked smarter not harder to free up their time.

"We're thrilled to have already set the wheels in motion in this area for NCP and are looking forward to identifying further efficiencies and continuing to build a strong partnership, as the business drives towards its impressive zero-emission targets."
