Revised Lexus ES announced

Date: 19 April 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Lexus has revealed a revised version of its ES saloon.

Many of the changes are under the skin, with revised rear suspension said to have been designed with the aim of producing a more linear response to driver inputs, and changes to the braking system intended to reduce vibration and provide better control.

In addition, revisions have been announced to the adaptive variable suspension system fitted to F Sport cars, intended to improve ride comfort, steering response and stability.

Exterior styling changes include a redesign for the front grille and headlights, and new-look alloy wheels.

The ES will also be newly-available with BladeScan adaptive high-beam headlights.

New safety systems include emergency steering assist and intersection turn assist, while the autonomous emergency braking system will now additionally detect pedestrians at night, and cyclists during the day.

Updated exterior paint colours will also be available, along with new interior trim and upholstery options.

The revised ES will go on sale in the UK in late 2021. Prices and specs are yet to be announced.
