Hyundai Kona and Ioniq EVs get grant-minded price reductions

Hyundai has become the latest carmaker to announce reduced prices in line with changes to the UK Government's plug-in car grant.
The government announced last month that to be eligible for the grant, itself reduced from £3,000 to £2,500, cars now needed to be priced at less than £35,000.
Hyundai has therefore announced that its Kona Electric with the 64kWh long-range battery, in the Premium equipment grade, now costs £34,995.
Versions with the 34kWh battery are now £30,395 in SE Connect spec and £31,745 in the Premium grade, while the 64kWh Premium SE model remains out of range of the grant at £37,145.
Meanwhile, the pure electric version of the Ioniq is now priced at £32,995 with the Premium equipment grade, and £34,995 for Premium SE.
