Fleet Alliance targets SMEs with new salary sacrifice scheme

Date: 03 August 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Fleet Alliance has launched a new salary sacrifice scheme designed to help SMEs offer their employees electric cars.

While the new scheme is available to fleets of all sizes, Fleet Alliance says it offers particular value to SMEs, which it says may not necessarily be aware of the benefits of this type of arrangement.

The scheme allows employees not normally eligible for company cars, or who have opted for a cash allowance, to have a fully maintained EV at no extra cost to the business.

Fleet Alliance says the scheme benefits from its multi-bid funding solution, using competitive tendering among a panel of funders, and includes free access to the e-Fleet management system.

It claims that compared with personal contract hire, an employee can save over £200 per month on a Volkswagen ID.3, or over £400 per month on a Tesla Model 3.

Fleet Alliance managing director Martin Brown said: "We believe our new salary sacrifice scheme offers benefits for businesses of all sizes. But we believe it will resonate especially with SMEs for whom this type of scheme has not been widely available.

"Its advantages of lower leasing costs, full maintenance, fully comprehensive insurance and the option to tailor lifestyle protection offer particular value to SMEs.

"We believe now is the perfect time to launch such a scheme for all our customers and prospects as it takes maximum advantage of the prevailing tax regimes and the growing movement to electrification.

"And it provides an excellent opportunity to reduce your company's carbon footprint and provide employees with a brand-new electric vehicle at minimal BIK impact."
