Aviva launches EV salary sacrifice scheme

Date: 07 December 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Insurance company Aviva has launched an EV salary sacrifice scheme for its UK employees.

The scheme, provided by Zenith, allows employees to run a fully-electric car, such as a Nissan Leaf or Mini Electric, for a two or three-year period.

The scheme includes insurance, fully-managed servicing and maintenance, road fund licence, breakdown cover, replacement tyres, accident management, delivery and collection.

It is part of a wide-ranging Aviva carbon initiative, which also includes an upgraded Cycle2Work scheme.

Aviva has also committed to all its new company cars in the UK, Ireland and Canada being fully-electric, plug-in hybrid, or hydrogen-powered by 2025.

Aviva chief people officer Danny Harmer said: "Our people are hugely passionate about our net zero carbon by 2040 goal, so we are looking for practical ways to help them limit climate change.

"Aviva's electric vehicle and Cycle2Work schemes are two ways we are supporting them to put this into practice."
