New Nissan Ariya specs and prices announced

Nissan has confirmed specs and prices for the Ariya, its new electric SUV.

The model will be available with a choice of four powertrain specs, including two two-wheel drive powertrains - one with a 63kWh battery and a 217hp motor, and another with an 87kWh battery and 242hp - and two with all-wheel drive - one with an 87kWh battery and 306hp, and another with the same battery and 394hp. 

Estimated maximum driving ranges on the WLTP combined cycle are 223 miles for the 217hp model, 310 miles with 242hp, 285 miles with 306hp, and 248 miles with 394hp.

There will a choice of three equipment grades - Advance, Evolve, and Performance. Nissan says standard equipment with the range-topping Performance grade will include a 10-speaker Bose sound system, a digital head-up display, intelligent rear view mirror, a panoramic sunroof, and 20in alloy wheels.

Prices start at £41,845 for a 217hp Advance, and rise to £51,090 for a 242hp Evolve, £53,790 for a 306hp Evolve, and £58,440 for a 394hp Performance.

The Arya is available to pre-order now, with the first deliveries schedules for summer 2022.
