New taxi booking service launched by Nexus Vehicle Rental

Nexus Vehicle Rental has introduced a new taxi booking service, in partnership with transport provider CMAC.

The new Nexus Go platform allows customers to access an online portal where they can book a vehicle in advance or on demand.

The service, which includes access to more than 2,500 UK taxi companies, also provides journey progress and location updates, and GPS tracking via Google Maps, with what3words location services.

Nexus Go users can also use Nexus's IRIS rental booking platform to consolidate billing, incorporating journey fees and ancillary charges in full.

Users also have access to a customer management reporting suite in both online and offline accessible formats, providing visibility of all costs and charges associated with their fleet on a single source platform. 

Nexus Vehicle Rental CEO David Brennan said: "Over the last eighteen months, the Covid-19 pandemic has presented challenges across the rental industry, one being a shift in strategy from suppliers who are moving away from supporting shorter term hires such as one-day, one-way bookings.
