Autorola UK has begun offering fleets a white label version of its online wholesale used car sales portal, which it says will allow them to dispose of used vehicles without needing to develop their own digital platform.
The portal - previously available to carmakers and dealers - promotes customers' used cars to other wholesale buyers digitally, meaning they avoid transport costs associated with physical vehicle sales.
A data feed is taken from the fleet operator's internal asset management system accompanied by a reserve price and the stock is then offered for sale to Autorola's online national network of 2,000 live trade buyers.
Autorola says its sales team proactively highlights used cars to buyers of similar stock to increase the speed of sale.
It provides a fully managed end-to-end process, including transport. Each vehicle is inspected and collected and then delivered to the buyer.
On delivery the vehicle is inspected again, and a 24-hour grievance period allows the new owner to report any problems, which are then resolved by Autorola's customer service team.
Autorola UK group sales director Jon Mitchell said: "During 2020 we saw a large percentage of used cars sold online, and our portal enables fleets to sell used cars to the trade without them having to invest in their own digital platform.
"Many leasing, rental and funders have a strong brand which we can use to their advantage when selling used cars into the trade.
"Our online platform is tried and tested over two decades which immediately benefits fleets from launch."
