Europcar adds electric and hybrid models to fleet

Date: 16 February 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

New electric and hybrid cars are being added to Europcar Mobility Group UK's rental fleet.

The firm says the Renault Zoe fully-electric car will be added to its fleet in March, and it is also adding the Citroën C5 Aircross plug-in hybrid, and the Ford Puma mild hybrid.

Europcar says it is rolling out electrified vehicles for both short- and long-term hire, and for both professional and leisure customers.

They follow the addition of the MG ZS EV onto its fleet last year.

Europcar UK managing director Ron Santiago said: "Europcar Mobility Group has a clearly stated mission to have more than a third of its fleet 'green' (electric, plug-in hybrids and hybrids) by the end of 2023 as part of its 'One Sustainable Fleet' programme.

"In the UK we have been working closely with our manufacturer partners to identify ways to help us achieve this goal.

"By bringing these new fully electric and mild hybrid models onto our fleet we believe we can help businesses and individuals reach their own sustainability goals in a cost-effective way."
