Date: 22 February 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

A seminar on how fleet and HR managers should respond to serious road crashes by road safety charity Brake, as part of its Global Fleet Champions campaign.

The interactive online session will look at what effective crisis management strategies should include, as well as the complications that can arise following a crash, the involvement of enforcement authorities, safeguarding staff and caring for others, and how to plan and write effective crisis management policies.

The event is being run in conjunction with law firm DAC Beachcroft, and speakers wil include its head of criminal motor defence Charlotte Le Maire, and its transport regulatory team solicitor Stephen Sadler, as well as Andrew Drewary of Road Safety Smart, and Mike Colborne of Tarmac Cement & Lime.

The event will take place online on Wednesday, 24 February. Places can be booked via the Global Fleet Champions website.

Brake head of programme delivery Scott Williams said: "Driving is one of the most dangerous activities you ask your employees to do. It is important to prepare for the worst so you can quickly and effectively.

"Good crisis management policies won't just help reduce the trauma experienced by employees and victims, they will also limit the damage to your organisation."
