New Citroën E-Berlingo revealed

Date: 23 February 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Citroën has unveiled the new electric version of its van-derived Berlingo MPV.

Like its recently revealed platform-sharing cousins, the Vauxhall Combo-E Life and Peugeot E-Rifter, the E-Berlingo features a 136hp motor and a 50kWh battery.

A range of up to 174 miles is possible on the official WLTP cycle.

A full battery charge from a 7kW wallbox will take 7.5 hours, while a 22kW unit will take five hours. Alternatively, an 80% charge is possible in 30 minutes with a 100kW DC charger.

There are three selectable drive modes - Normal, Eco, and Power - and a B mode to increase the powertrain's regenerative braking effect.

Two vehicle lengths are available - Medium, measuring 4.4m long, and Long, which is 4.75m long.

The E-Berlingo will be available in the UK from the fourth quarter of 2021. Prices and specs are yet to be announced.
