The start point for the best source of fleet information

Newmotion and Leaseplan agree partnership

Date: 06 July 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

EV charging company Newmotion has been named as a preferred supplier for Europe by fleet management company Leaseplan.

The deal will see Newmotion providing Leaseplan customers with EV charging solutions at home and at workplaces, and also give them access to public charging, including ultra-rapid chargers at Shell service stations.

Leaseplan customers will also gain access to online tools providing real-time information on charger availability and charging speeds, and lease drivers will be automatically reimbursed for charging costs.

The first phase roll-out of the deal will include the UK, along with Germany, Norway, and Sweden.

Newmotion CEO Melanie Lane said: "We're really excited to support Leaseplan, one of Europe's largest players in leasing, in their efforts to scale up e-mobility.

"Over the past ten years, we have seen more and more people switching to EVs, along with an increased interest from companies to facilitate this.

"To make the transition seamless for both businesses and their employees, companies need a smart charging ecosystem that helps them to monitor and control their charging.

"We're proud to support Leaseplan in achieving its net zero target for its fleets by 2030."
