Fleet Logistics reports strong increase in demand for fleet electrification analysis

Date: 14 June 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Fleet service provider Fleet Logistics has revealed strong evidence of growing interest in electrification and sustainability among international operators.

It said it had seen a 100% increase in demand for electrification consulting projects, while 50% of its clients now had embedded recurring sustainability reporting at a global level.

According to Fleet Logistics, many major companies are evaluating their existing fleets in terms of carbon emissions, powertrain make-up, and total cost of ownership, then benchmarking the resulting analysis against their corporate sustainability targets.

The Fleet Logistics platform takes data from suppliers such as leasing companies, vehicle manufacturers, and energy suppliers. It contains pre-defined reports on areas such as carbon footprint, asset details, renewal cycles, powertrain mix, and spending, and also offers custom reports.

Fleet Logistics head of global mobility solutions Thibault Alleyn said growing numbers of companies were taking their environmental commitments very seriously against a backdrop of growing political consensus on global warming.

He said: "As we work toward reaching targets set out in the Paris agreement, more businesses are pledging to take action by reducing their own greenhouse-gas emissions.

"Understanding current emissions levels, by accurate measurement and reporting on progress, plays a significant part in that."
