Runyourfleet sees big daily rental growth after adopting Epyx platform

Fleet management company Runyourfleet says its daily rental volumes almost doubled after adopting Epyx's 1link Hire Network platform.

Runyourfleet managing director Steve Whitmarsh said it had adopted the platform to manage growing demand for short-term hire from across its customer base.

He said: "Daily rental is a key part of our portfolio and looks to become even more important in the future. However, it is an area where we felt held back by using a legacy system that wasn't providing the flexibility we needed to meet customer requirements.

"Thanks to our existing relationship with Epyx as a user of their 1link Service Network service, maintenance and repair platform, adopting 1link Hire Network seemed like the obvious decision.

"Probably the best indication of the success of the new platform for us is that we have pretty much doubled our rental volumes and much of this is because we are now confident that we have the right infrastructure in place."

As well as helping with making and handling bookings and invoicing, Whitmarsh also said the system made it easier to negotiate with suppliers and offer different tariffs for different customers.

Runyourfleet has also adopted the Downtime Management module for Epyx's 1link Service Network, said to make short-term hire cover easier and minimise unneeded rental days.

Epyx head of business development Marc Lees (pictured) said: "We've been working with Runyourfleet almost since the company was founded and are very pleased to see them generating such impressive results through their use of 1link Hire Network.

"The platform has a strong record when it comes to its commercial effectiveness and this is proving to be the case once again."
