Blue-light Skoda Enyaq iV revealed

Date: 24 June 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Skoda is introducing a version of its Enyaq iV electric SUV for emergency service fleets.

The blue-light Enyaq iV will be offered with both battery options from the regular range - 62kWh and 82kWh - with up to 204hp and a range on the official WLTP cycle of up to 333 miles on a single charge, with an 80% charge possible in around 38 minutes.

Initially blue-light models will be two-wheel drive, with a four-wheel drive version to follow.

Skoda's bespoke blue-light conversion includes 360-degree lighting, and a fully-integrated emergency services' communication platform within the model's regular infotainment touchscreen.

Skoda says a boot capacity of 585 litres, or up to 1,710 litres with the rear seats down, allows space for equipment such as oxygen tanks and ventilators, while the reduction in moving parts associated with an EV powertrain should allow less frequent maintenance and servicing.

The Enyaq iV will be available to blue-light customers from next month.
