Shell targets small fleets with new fuel app

A new fuel card management app aimed at small business owners has been launched by Shell Fleet Solutions UK.
It says the Shell Fleet App is designed for businesses running up to 10 vehicles.
Available on Android and iOS platforms, it consolidates fuel transactions across the fleet into a single monthly payment, with the aim of helping small business owners to easily track their fuel spending.
Its 'drive now, pay later' fuel card can be used by drivers at more than 3,800 UK filling stations, including 1,105 Shell sites, and also partner stations run by Esso, Texaco, Gulf, Gleaner, Circle K, and Morrisons, with an in-app locator directing drivers to the nearest participating location.
Other app features include downloadable, VAT-compliant invoices, and the ability to track the exact amounts spent by each driver.
Head of Shell Fleet Solutions UK Sarah Llewelyn said: "Last year presented significant operational challenges for many different industries, particularly for small business owners.
"With costs and operational efficiency under the microscope, we want to support small business owners in reducing admin time, and boosting operational savings.
