New fleet leadership among senior Groupe Renault UK appointments

Date: 01 April 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Mark Hawkins has been chosen to head up Groupe Renault UK's fleet department, in one of several newly-announced senior appointments.

Hawkins has worked for the company for more than 27 years, most recently as head of dealer network development and performance.

He replaces Mark Dickens, who is moving to become head of Elexent UK, a Renault-owned business looking to help companies establish or expand EV fleets with tailor-made, turnkey charging solutions.

These are among a number of senior appointments announced as Groupe Renault divides into four separate business units - Renault, Dacia, Alpine, and Mobilize.

Among the other new appointments are Adam Wood being named as Dacia brand director in the north territory, which includes the UK, and Louise O'Sullivan becoming marketing director.

Tim Marriott has been appointed as sales director, and Mark Thomason has become director of quality and service.

In addition, Maxine Bonwick has been appointed as HR director.

Groupe Renault UK managing director Vincent Tourette said: "As per the [previously announced] Renaultlution strategy, our brands are now entering into a new phase which is designed to secure our long-term plans for growth and provide our customers with sustainable mobility solutions that are both innovative and affordable.

"These key personnel changes will help our UK operation to deliver what is expected of us in the future, with those appointed to the roles having vast automotive industry experience and many having already been with Groupe Renault UK for upwards of a decade.

"I am certain that all will be even more successful in their new roles within the organisation."
