Hyundai Tucson plug-in hybrid specs and prices confirmed

Hyundai has announced specs and prices for the new, plug-in hybrid version of its Tucson SUV.
The model features a 1.6-litre petrol engine and a 66.9kW electric motor, with a total system output of 265hp. A 13.8kWh battery allows an estimated electric-only range of over 34 miles on the WLTP test cycle.
Four-wheel drive comes as standard, and the plug-in hybrid also comes with active aerodynamics with an active air flap, designed to minimise air resistance and maximise fuel efficiency - though fuel economy and CO2 emissions figures are yet to be confirmed.
The Tucson plug-in hybrid is available in two high-end equipment grades from the regular Tucson range - Premium and Ultimate.
Standard equipment with Premium spec includes 18in alloy wheels, LED front and rear lights, a 10.25in touchscreen with sat-nav and with Bluelink connected car services, and a 10.25" digital instrument cluster.
Stepping up to Ultimate grade adds further equipment including 19in alloys, leather seat facings, a panoramic glass sunroof and an electric tailgate.
Prices start at £39,330 for Premium spec, and rise to £42,030 for Ultimate.
