Hyundai has confirmed specs and prices for the newly revised version of its Kona Electric.

Design changes include a new-look closed grille, new LED daytime running lights, new-look headlights and tail lights, and tweaked front and rear bumpers.

As before, there's a choice of two powertrains. One has a 136hp motor and a 39.2kWh battery, offering a driving range of 189 miles on the WLTP cycle, while the other has a 204hp motor and a 64kWh battery, providing a range of 300 miles.

With the smaller battery, a recharge is possible in 45 minutes with a 100kW rapid charger, and in six hours with a 7.2kW charger.

Three equipment grades are on offer - SE Connect, Premium, and Ultimate. Standard kit with SE Connect spec includes a 10.25in digital instrument cluster, a 10.25in infotainment touchscreen with sat-nav, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, keyless entry and start, and adaptive cruise control with stop-go function.

Stepping up to the Premium grade adds further equipment including LED headlights and rear lights, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, blind spot and rear cross traffic collision avoidance assist, front parking sensors, automatic wipers and wireless device charging.

The range-topping Ultimate grade adds further equipment including a sunroof, a highway drive assist system, a head-up display, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats.

Prices, including the UK Government's £3,000 plug-in car grant, start at £30,125 for a 136hp SE Connect, and rise to £31,475 for a 136hp Premium, £35,225 for a 204hp Premium, and £37,375 for a 204hp Ultimate.
