Date: 11 May 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Mercedes-Benz has added two new all-wheel drive powertrain options to its EQA electric SUV range.

The new variants, which both use a dual-motor set-up, are the 300 4Matic, which produces 228hp, and the 350 4Matic, which produces 292hp.

Both come with a useable battery capacity of 66.5kWh, and a maximum driving range of 264 miles, depending on spec.

The new powertrains join the existing 188hp, single-motor model in the range, and are being offered with a choice of three equipment grades - AMG Line, AMG Line Premium, and AMG Line Premium Plus.

Standard equipment with AMG Line cars includes AMG Line bodystyling, 18in alloy wheels, a black panel radiator grille, and illuminated door sills, while extra features of AMG Line Premium spec include 19in alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, augmented reality sat-nav, and wireless phone charging.

Further equipment with AMG Line Premium Plus spec includes 20in alloys, a 360-degree camera, adjustable suspension with speed-sensitive steering, a Burmester surround sound system, a head-up display, and MBUX Interior Assistant with gesture control.

Prices for the EQA 300 4Matic are £48,495 with AMG Line spec, £51,495 with AMG Line Premium, and £54,495 with AMG Line Premium Plus, while prices for the EQA 350 4Matic are £49,995, £52,995, and £55,995 respectively.

Orders are open now, with the first deliveries scheduled for this summer.
