The start point for the best source of fleet information

Event to offer advice on safer journey planning

Date: 07 May 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

A webinar about how fleets can plan safer journeys is being held by road safety charity Brake as part of its Global Fleet Champions campaign.

The free event will cover how drivers react to different road types, and how journeys can be scheduled to ensure they are as safe as possible.

Panellists will also talk about how technology can help with safe journey planning, and what good scheduling and routing looks like.

Speakers will include Driive fleet risk director Alison Moriarty, Driver Metrics director of research and development Dr Lisa Dorn, and Unitrans regional SHEQ manager Michael Zano.

Places can be booked via the Global Fleet Champions website.

Brake head of programme delivery Scott Williams said: "Poorly planned journeys increase the chance of a crash occurring. Long hours behind the wheel and demanding schedules affect drivers' ability to focus on the road, while routes plotted through busy areas increase the risk to other road users.

"This webinar will offer fleet managers a new perspective on keeping all road users safe."
