Hyundai Bayon specs and prices announced

Hyundai has confirmed UK specs and prices for the Bayon, its new small SUV.

Three equipment grades will be available - SE Connect, Premium, and Ultimate.

Standard features with the entry-level SE Connect grade include 16in alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, air conditioning, cruise control, rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, an 8in screen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, and a 10.25in digital instrument cluster.

Further equipment with the Premium grade includes 17in alloy wheels, LED headlights and rear lights, privacy glass, climate control, heated front seats and steering wheel, a 10.25in touchscreen with sat-nav, and wireless smartphone charging.

Extra equipment with top-spec Ultimate cars includes a two-tone black roof, keyless entry, a Bose premium sound system, blind spot collision warning, and lane follow assist.

Standard safety equipment throughout the range includes lane keep assist with lane departure warning, driver attention alert, autonomous emergency braking, and forward collision assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection.

Engine options are 100hp and 120hp 1.0-litre petrol mild hybrids, and there's a choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed DCT automatic transmission. Fuel economy and CO2 emissions figures are yet to be confirmed.

Range prices start at £20,295 for a 100hp SE Connect manual, and rise as high as £25,795 for a 120hp Ultimate auto.
