Driving range of DS 3 Crossback E-Tense extended

Date: 29 November 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

The range on a single charge of the electric DS 3 Crossback E-Tense has been extended.

The model can now cover up to 212 miles on the official WLTP combined cycle, an increase of nearly 7%.

According to DS, this has been achieved through development of a more efficient heat pump, the selection of improved gear ratios, and the fitting of more eco-friendly tyres.

DS says it is the multi-energy car brand with the lowest average CO2 emissions from new cars sold in Europe, at 100.2g/km, while 40% of its UK sales so far in 2021 are either EVs or plug-in hybrids. It says every new model it sells will be fully electric from 2024.

UK prices for the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense, including the government's Plug-in Car Grant, start at £31,500.
