New Suzuki S-Cross revealed

Date: 25 November 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Suzuki has unveiled an all-new version of its S-Cross SUV.

Exterior design features of the second-generation model include larger and more angular wheel arches, a raised bonnet line, new LED headlights and larger tail lights, while Suzuki says interior space is also increased compared with the outgoing car.

Only one engine is available - a 1.4-litre mild hybrid petrol, with a 48V battery assisting the engine during acceleration. There is a choice of manual or automatic transmission, and either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Official WLTP fuel economy and CO2 emissions figures are from 53.2mpg and 120g/km.

The range consists of two equipment grades - Motion and Ultra. Standard features across the range include Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, keyless entry and start, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control.

Further equipment with the Ultra grade includes a 360-degree camera, leather upholstery, sat-nav, and a panoramic sunroof.

The new S-Cross goes on sale in the UK in January. Prices start at £24,999 for a Motion manual.
