Engineius appoints new managing director

Date: 26 October 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Engineius has announced the appointment of Calum Slowther as its new managing director.

Slowther, who was previously the vehicle movement service's commercial director, was its first employee in 2017, when he is said to have worked closely with the founders and a range of potential clients to understand its market opportunity. This then led into the design of the proposition and technology platform shortly afterwards.

Since Engineius launched in 2018, Slowther has been largely focused on the growth of the company's customer base and order volumes, including exclusive contracts with large corporate fleets and retailers.

He now assumes responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business.

He said: "I am very excited to be taking on the managing director role at Engineius. We have a huge opportunity ahead of us after making a great start, which has proven the strong demand for the service we have brought to market.

"Our mission for the next phase of our growth is clear - we will demonstrate that we can give customers the same control and confidence as they would get if they operated vehicle logistics in house, but with the flexibility of sharing a now very large network with many other clients and the enhanced user experience our technology stack provides them with.

"We have work to do to achieve this but I am determined we will make this happen. The key to doing so will be people. We will create a company where employees learn a lot, love coming to work and get rewarded for delivering excellence."

Engineius director and founder Chris Clibbery said: "We are delighted to announce Calum as the new managing director of Engineius.

"Calum has played a pivotal role throughout our transition and growth, from our pre-launch period in 2017 to where the business is now.

"He has built up a wealth of business and industry knowledge to now direct Engineius's operations and people. On behalf of the Engineius board, I am confident that this combined with Calum's drive to succeed will push the business forward at pace."
