IAM Roadsmart CEO to step down

Date: 28 October 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

IAM Roadsmart CEO Tony Greenidge is to leave the role, the road safety charity has announced.

Greenidge originally joined the charity as business development director as business development director in 2017, and has been CEO for the past 18 months.

He will remain in the role until the end of March next year.

Greenidge said: "We have delivered excellent financial results during the 18-month pandemic period to date and as we embark on an exciting phase in our history underpinned by a new five-year strategic plan, this is a key time for IAM Roadsmart.

"After much contemplation, I feel it is important that the CEO who takes our charity forward into a new phase of change and strategic growth, remains in place to see it through to completion.

''I will work closely with trustees to prepare the path for the next CEO. Our significant investment in technology, infrastructure, and product development will ensure that our strategic plan has the necessary tools and resources in place to support the driver training, education and compliance needs of businesses, the traditional company car and increasingly grey fleet drivers.

"The recruitment that has taken place over the last 12 months means that the new CEO inherits a highly skilled team, and I will watch with interest as IAM Roadsmart goes from strength to strength."

IAM Roadsmart chairman Stuart Donald said: "Tony has achieved a lot in the last four years, and we respect his decision to step down.

"It is a pivotal time for IAM Roadsmart as we progress and adapt for future challenges, so I am pleased that Tony will continue to lead the charity for the next five months to help with a smooth transition."
