Date: 01 October 2021   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Mazda has confirmed UK specs and prices for the facelifted version of its CX-5 SUV.

Styling changes with the updated model include a new front grille, new-look front and rear bumpers, and revised headlight and tail light designs.

Four engine options are available - 165hp and 194hp petrols, and 150hp and 184hp diesels.

Cars with the 165hp petrol and 150hp diesel engines are front-wheel drive, while the 184hp diesel engine comes with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and the 194hp petrol is all-wheel drive only.

WLTP fuel economy and CO2 emissions figures are 38.2-41.5mpg and 153-166g/km with the 165hp petrol, 35.3mpg and 182g/km with the 194hp petrol, 46.3-50.4mpg and 147-160g/km with the 150hp diesel, and 42.8-50.4mpg and 147-173g/km with the 184hp diesel.

The range features five equipment grades - SE-L, Newground, Sport, Sport Black, and GT Sport.

The new CX-5 is due to arrive in the UK early next year. Range prices start at £27,845 for a 165hp petrol SE-L, and rise as high as £39,085 for a 184hp diesel GT Sport.
