AFP webinar to offer advice on mobility strategies

Advice on creating mobility strategies for fleets is to be offered by a webinar held by the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP).
The event, entitled 'Getting Started on Your Mobility Deployment', is said to have been organised due to demand from AFP members.
It will take place on 8 September, with contributions from Aviva busines services lead Ryan Coles, Enterprise head of mobility solutions Oz Choudhri, and Mobilleo strategic account director Ross Basnett.
AFP chair Paul Hollick said: "In the fleet sector, there is obviously much talk at the moment about the transition to electrification but there is also another, perhaps equally important development underway - that of evolving from fleet to mobility strategies.
"To some extent, the pandemic has created a pause in this process because many mobility services are based on shared use of assets but, as things return to some kind of normality, we are seeing interest in the subject revive quickly.
"The new webinar, which we are expecting to be very popular, is designed to help fleet managers take their first steps towards creating their initial formal mobility strategies, with the help of some of the sector's leading experts."
The AFP will also host a further webinar this month, 'EV Charging - Company Payment and Reimbursements', which will take place on 15 September, with contributions from Hollick, in his role as managing director of The Miles Consultancy (TMC), and MINA co-founder Ashley Tate.
Hollick said: "There has been much discussion among EV operators about the best way to approach this subject and we'll be looking at the most effective and practical approaches available.
"This area is something that is going to become important for employers quite quickly as fleet electrification gathers pace."
