Driving ranges confirmed for new Toyota BZ4X

Date: 04 April 2022   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Toyota has confirmed that its new BZ4X electric SUV will be available with a range of over 300 miles on a single charge.

Under official WLTP testing, the manufacturer said the front-wheel drive version of the mode achieved a range of 317 miles, while the all-wheel drive version recorded a range of 285 miles.

Both versions come with a 71.4kWh battery, available with an optional extended care package that guarantees a remaining 70% capacity after ten years or 620,000 miles driven.

The BZ4X is the first in a new range of BZ (Beyond Zero) electric models from Toyota, and marks the debut of a new all-wheel drive system which deploys individual electric motors on the front and rear axles.

UK customer deliveries of the model are scheduled to begin in June.
