Orders open for facelifted Kia XCeed

Date: 12 August 2022   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Kia has confirmed UK specs and prices for the updated version of its XCeed crossover, which is available to order now.

With the new facelifted model, Kia has introduced a new range-topping GT-Line S equipment grade, which replaces the previous 4 grade in the range.

The range starts with the 2 grade, which comes with standard equipment including 16in alloy wheels, LED bi-function headlights, an 8in infotainment touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, a 4.2in driver display, a reversing camera, autonomous emergency braking, and cruise control with speed limiter.

Stepping up to the 3 grade adds kit such as 18in alloys, a 10.25in infotainment touchscreen with sat-nav, privacy glass, automatic wipers, front seat power lumbar support, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, and rear parking sensors.

Further features of GT-Line S spec include GT-Line bodykit, a panoramic sunroof, leather and suede seat upholstery, heated outer rear seats, an electric tailgate, 40/20/40 split folding rear seats, a JBL premium audio system, a 12.3in driver display, wireless smartphone charging, smart park assist, blind spot collision warning, and intelligent speed limit warning.

As before, the XCeed is available with a choice of two powertrains - a 160hp petrol engine, or a 141hp plug-in hybrid. The latter is said to be capable of travelling up to 30 miles on battery power alone, although official WLTP efficiency data is yet to be published.

Prices for the updated XCeed start at £22,995 for a 2 petrol, and rise to £25,495 for a 3 petrol and £29,995 for a GT-Line S petrol.

The plug-in hybrid version is only available with the 3 grade, with extra equipment including 16in alloy wheels, a closed radiator grille, smart cruise control with stop and go function, and selectable drive modes. It is priced at £32,595.

Customer deliveries are scheduled to start at the end of Q3 this year.
