Vauxhall Mokka Electric gains bigger battery and more powerful motor

Date: 14 December 2022   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Vauxhall has announced upgrades for its Mokka Electric SUV, including a bigger battery and more powerful motor.

The new 54kWh battery replaces the previous 50kWh unit, and as well as having a larger capacity is also more efficient, meaning a range increase on the official WLTP cycle to 252 miles, from 209 miles previously.

Vauxhall says that the increase in battery size does not mean any loss of passenger or battery space.

As for the motor upgrade, this means a power increase from 136hp to 156hp.

Orders for the upgraded Mokka Electric will open in March, with the first deliveries expected during Spring.
