New Skoda Karoq blue light conversion introduced

Date: 23 June 2022   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Skoda has unveiled a new Rapid Response version of its Karoq SUV, fully converted for emergency services use.

The conversion includes LED signal lights built into the front screen, grille, tailgate and number plate, along with a 100-amp three tone siren.

There's also a fully integrated communications platform designed to work together with the Karoq's 8in infotainment screen.

The car's chassis is modified for emergency services use, and other features include medical technology, a roll-out luggage compartment tray, and a back-up electricity source.

There's a choice of three petrol and two diesel engine options producing between 110hp and 190hp, and either six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard with a 190hp petrol engine, and optional with a 150hp diesel.
