Allstar launches new fleet home EV charging service

Date: 31 March 2022   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Fuel card company Allstar has launched a new service aimed at fleets whose drivers have EVs to charge at home.

Allstar Homecharge, powered by Mina, has been designed to simplify home fleet charging, with management through one supplier and complete visibility of charging and payments.

Allstar said that while it was often easier for drivers to charge their vehicles at home, this could add complexity to the reimbursement process and the accurate reporting of costs.

Its new service sees all charging costs come through on one consolidated invoice, with home charging payments then made directly to the driver's energy supplier.

According to Allstar, the advantages to employees are that any out-of-pocket expenses, admin problems or surprise bills are avoided, while they also have access to their home charging history via the Allstar Driver Homecharge portal, which they can also use to manage home energy tariffs details, have visibility over home charging sessions, and view when and how much charging has been paid for by their employer.

Allstar Business Solutions managing director of UK fuel Paul Holland said: "Increasingly UK businesses are migrating their fleets to electric vehicles. With that comes additional responsibilities and considerations when it comes to fleet management, including facilitating home charging and facilitating payments for work-related usage.

"Allstar Homecharge is supporting the many businesses that have already started to transition to EV fleets, as well as those who are planning to, by providing the payment processes and infrastructure needed to do this securely and seamlessly. It is the first of its kind to simplify EV charging payments for drivers and businesses when at home."
