UK homeowners can earn £1,000 a year by allowing fleet EVs to charge at their properties through JustPark's FleetCharge scheme, the company has said.
The service is designed to support fleet drivers who do not have access to off-street charging at their home, by providing a dedicated charging space within five minutes' walk of their address.
The charger is installed by JustPark, which pays a guaranteed monthly amount to the homeowner, and covers the cost of the electricity used.
The company says the scheme allows fleet EV drivers - who each have exclusive access to their assigned charger - to avoid the anxiety of relying solely on public charging facilities.
JustPark is currently inviting homeowners to register for the scheme, so they can be contacted when there is a requirement for their space.
JustPark director of EV Mike Strahlman said: "With the legislated transition to clean-air powertrains looming many businesses are looking to swap their commercial fleets to electric. There's a barrier currently, which is that most drivers take these vehicles home at night and finding safe and reliable charging is difficult.
"JustPark finds a homeowner with a driveway within a short walk of the fleet driver, installing charging hardware, and giving them a reliable and guaranteed place to charge.
"It's a win-win for the driver and business but also for the homeowner, who through hosting these fleet drivers and vehicles, could earn £1,000 a year. Our JustPark team will look after the hosts, providing and paying for the installation of a charging unit and all costs associated."
