The start point for the best source of fleet information

Pod Point announces Pendragon EV charging partnership

Date: 23 November 2022   |   Author: Sean Keywood

EV charging firm Pod Point has agreed a three-year partnership with fleet management company Pendragon Vehicle Management (PVM).

The deal will see Pod Point become PVM's preferred EV home chargepoint supplier, for new and existing customers of its fleet of electric and hybrid vehicles.

Once a vehicle has been ordered through PVM, Pod Point will carry out a consultation, before delivering, installing, and activating a charger.

According to Pod Point, its team will manage the process end-to-end, from driver referral through to installation, reducing the time usually spent by company fleet managers in arranging charger installations on behalf of their employees.

PVM customers will also be given access to Pod Point's network of more than 7,300 public charging bays.

Pure EVs and plug-in hybrids currently make up more than 80% of PVM's car order bank.

PVM managing director Neal Francis said: "We are seeing increasing demand for our BEV fleet and expect to see this trend going into 2023 and beyond. The salary sacrifice scheme continues to offer an attractive option for drivers looking to make the transition.

"As our first chargepoint partnership, we wanted to work with a trusted brand and chose Pod Point because of its reputation for excellent customer service, as well as its reliable and easy to use network."

Pod Point CEO Erik Fairbairn said: "Pendragon Vehicle Management has a long-standing reputation and has been helping UK businesses reduce the cost and burden of operating their fleets for over three decades. We're thrilled to be working with them as a preferred chargepoint supplier."
