Rental and mobility firm UFODrive has appointed Richard Fitzgerald to the newly-created role of global head of software-as-a-service (SAAS) product.
Fitzgerald has over 20 years of experience in software development, and was the original founder and CEO of Europe's first real-time vehicle tracking platforms.
Most recently, he was vice president of global product management at Fiserv.
Fitzgerald said: "I am thrilled to be appointed to this new position at such a rapidly growing and ever-dynamic company, with the added benefit of doing good for planet and people by expanding electric vehicle uptake.
"Providing effective software for fleet managers is an essential, and often under-looked, part of this."
UFODrive CEO and co-founder Aidan McClean said: "We are delighted to have such an experienced senior figure like Richard taking on this new role. His leadership will be needed considering the current period of exponential company growth.
"Under his watchful eye, we can continue expanding our EV fleet management platform and acquiring industry-leading names along the way."
